Life, By Design helps you see your financial life, imagine what you want, and plan toward it. It is currently invite-only. You need to be at least 18 and use a real account of your own; you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.

Everything the app shows you — projections, simulations, tax estimates, and the assistant's answers — is an estimate built from the information you share and the assumptions you choose. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and Life, By Design is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or tax preparer. Private valuations are your estimates until a transaction proves them. Talk to a licensed professional before acting on anything consequential.

What you share stays yours. You give the app permission to process it for one purpose: running your own plan. How that works, including the providers who process data on the app's behalf, is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

If you connect financial accounts, those connections run through Plaid, SnapTrade, or Coinbase under their own terms, with your authorization. You can disconnect them at any time. The app never stores your bank credentials.

If you opt in by adding your mobile number to your account, you can text with the app's assistant. Message frequency varies with your use, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

Use the app for your own household's planning. Don't probe or disrupt the service, don't try to reach anyone else's information, and don't use the app for anything unlawful.

This is a small product that improves constantly. It is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind; features may change, pause, or retire as it grows. We work to keep your plan accurate and available, and we don't promise perfection.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Life, By Design is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for financial decisions you make based on the app's estimates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the past twelve months.

You can stop using the app at any time and ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Questions go to johnwsharpe@gmail.com and a person will answer.
